There will be an open public meeting regarding NorthwesTel Internet and bandwidth issues, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. at the CJUC studio in Shipyards Park. The building is right beside the river, at the Frostbite Office meeting room, behind the parking lot and skating park.
Anyone with concerns or problems with NorthwesTel’s phone or Internet service is encouraged to attend.
Invited guests are Curtis Shaw from NorthwesTel, who advises he might bring along some of the local programmers that manage/created the bandwidth monitoring application and to answer any questions.
The other guest is Steve Sorochan, director of the newly formed Yukon government telecommunications branch to update us on what they are up to for consumer data and other projects.
