So the Yukon Party has once again dismissed its pretensions to democracy.

After he won a contested nomination in Mt. Lorne Ð Southern Lakes, the Yukon Party executive has removed its democratically elected candidate, Gerrard Fleming.

This is the new Yukon Party?

First the Conservatives dump Fleming at the last minute for Ryan Leef, then the Yukon Party appoints and parachutes Marion Horne into Whitehorse Centre after she lost the nomination in her own riding of Pelly Ð Nisutlin, and now the Yukon Party removes another candidate and leaves their members wondering, “Where is democracy and accountability?”

Democracy seems to be something the Yukon Party does not understand, whether it was under ex-premier Fentie, or his replacement, Darrell Pasloski.

I guess Yukon Party ex-campaign manager Craig Tuton’s famous 2006 quote of “We’ll spend whatever it takes to win” is alive and well.

I wonder who or what will be next to be thrown under the bus in their desperation to hold onto power at all costs.
