F.H. Collins construction delayed:

So construction of the new F.H. Collins School is to be delayed until August, 2015.

Quelle surprise!

The Yukon Party government was in such a hurry to begin construction BEFORE the election that they wouldn’t wait for the YESAB process to be completed.

But their announcement did make for a lovely photo-op for our premier-to-be as he posed beside the sign promising a completion date of August, 2013.

Like the mythical Greek figure Tantalus, the electorate, the staff and the student body were invited to share the food of the gods (let’s term that education), only to have it withdrawn.

We know - it’s politics; it’s just a game. Only in this one, the pawns (i.e. the staff, parents and students) are losers. And the electorate – well, we’ve been played again.
