Open letter to MP Ryan Leef:
I ask you not to support Bill C-38. While I have supported many of the Harper government’s initiatives, the omnibus bill is taking things too far. You were not elected on these changes.
There are too many dramatic changes hidden within this bill that will affect things that Canadians and Yukoners hold dear.
When you made an issue of C-68 in the last election, you supported Yukoners’ views, and this based on far less protest than is currently being seen over Bill C-38. The numbers of Yukoners showing up outside your office is unprecedented.
Going against your party can be inconvenient, but supporting Yukoners is what you promised to do.
