Open letter to Energy, Mines and Resources Minister Brad Cathers:
I didn’t expect to get a reply to my open letter to you and Premier Darrell Pasloski concerning your appalling performance during question period of the opening session of the legislature.
What was shocking about “your” reply was that “you” actually had the nerve to send me, as “your” reply, a copy of the non-answer you repeated ad nauseam in that opening session.
Did you really think I wanted to hear that again? Did you even read my letter? Do you read anyone’s letter or do you just direct your staff to send out the same form letter to anyone who mentions the Peel watershed?
I know of one other person who received the same form letter when he wrote to you with questions about the Peel. I wonder how many other people who write you with legitimate concerns just get brushed off with a form letter.
In the legislature you were pretty free with the word respect. Perhaps you should find a dictionary and look it up because this just seems to me to be another indication of the lack of respect you have for Yukoners.
Oh, and don’t bother to reply to this letter if it is just going to be another form letter. You would be wasting my time and your staff’s time and therefore my tax dollars.
