Open letter to Yukon Premier Darrell Pasloski:

I am in disbelief and truly frustrated by your recent decision to ignore the recommendations of the Peel Watershed Planning Commission, again.

One, your total disregard for the recommendations of the commission, which has spent many years consulting the public and researching this issue.

Two, your lack of openness in refusing to discuss this before the election and deceiving all of us Yukoners.

Three, your lack of respect for the opinion of your constituents. You were voted in to represent your community. The majority of Yukoners are in support of protection for most of the Peel River region.

Four, to add insult to injury, the full-page ad and smaller ad in Friday’s paper with the misleading headline: Finding A Balance to Protect the Peel Region. You have no desire to protect the Peel region. The headline is misleading and untrue. And the ads should not be paid for by our tax dollars.

The behaviour of this government is totally unacceptable to me.
