On Thursday, December 18, 2008, we signed, and were party to the publication in the issue of the Yukon News of Monday, December 22, 2008, of an “Open Letter to Minister Glenn Hart” regarding financial difficulties of Little Paws Learning Centre Society.

The letter made defamatory statements regarding the Society’s landlord Borud Enterprises Inc. and its principals David Borud and Stanley Borud

We write this letter to the Yukon News, Borud Enterprises Inc., and to its principals, Messrs. David Borud and Stanley Borud in the interests of the truth, as we want to undo the wrong that has accrued to them by the publication of the letter.

We unreservedly retract and withdraw the letter and the statements made therein, as they are without foundation and contain false and defamatory allegations about the Boruds, and unfairly blame the Boruds for the misfortunes of the society, which misfortunes were not attributable to the Boruds.

We apologize to the Boruds, and express our deepest regrets and sorrow for the inconvenience and embarrassment which we have caused to them and to their reputations.
