Wolves: The ultimate scapegoat! They can be legally killed from August 1 - March 31 every bloody year.

With the blessing of government, resident hunters may kill seven wolves each, and non-resident killers may kill two wolves each. Trappers have no limit to the number of wolves they can shoot and trap on their traplines.

Wolves can be shot, baited and trapped. All technology under the sun is used to destroy the lives of wolves and other wildlife.

Alpha male, alpha female, pregnant wolves and pups are all fair game (targets).

All this is unethical and inhumane.

Rather than vote to kill wolves, wouldn’t it be wise, rational and ethical to address human behaviour: i.e. overhunting, habitat loss?

Aerial wolf slaughter is off the table for now - and this is wonderful news. All other methods and excuses used to destroy the lives of wolves are also controversial and if we truly evolve as a species, these methods will also

be abolished one day.

Wolves are a “keystone species.” Humans are not. Human beings cannot peacefully, successfully manage themselves, and it is a tad arrogant to think we can manage wildlife.

Let’s manage ourselves, as wildlife doesn’t need us to manage it. Wild animals manage just fine, so long as we aren’t there to mess things up.

Wolves are not the problem. People are.
