Keep the junk to yourself

Keep the junk to yourself I recently received the third in a series of mailings sent to Yukon households concerning the accomplishments of the Yukon Party government (note, it is no accident that I do not address your government as government of Yukon).

I recently received the third in a series of mailings sent to Yukon households concerning the accomplishments of the Yukon Party government (note, it is no accident that I do not address your government as government of Yukon).

I find these mailings to be offensive to myself and to my community.

Your ability to spend prodigious amounts of other people’s money does not in my opinion constitute leadership.

Your ‘top only” leadership style results in a government that believes “it” (you) know what is best for the rest of us, and while you have your qualities, infallibility is not one of them.

Under your leadership, I see a Yukon becoming more divisive by the day. I am constantly amazed at the number of people I talk to who feel the course you have set for Yukon is unsustainable and based on the premise that certain people will be winners (those that agree with you), and others will lose (those that disagree with you).

For instance, your mantra that Yukon is “open for business.”

I was unaware that this meant my health, safety, quality of life, property rights, property values and enjoyment of my retirement would be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

And from what I have read in this newspaper, Keno City is not the only community dealing with the end result of this policy.

Since it is unclear in these mailings who is footing the bill for this propaganda I will leave this for someone else to figure out.

Please, in the future, do not mail these items to my household. I will not vote for anyone associated with the Yukon Party no matter how hard you try to convince me.
