Alaskan singer/songwriter Buddy Tabor died of lung cancer this week.
Shortly before his death, he said he wanted to express his gratitude to all those who came out to the tribute concert held at Whitehorse’s Old Firehall in November. Over the years he played in Whitehorse many times and appreciated the support he received, adding to the connection between the Juneau and Whitehorse music communities.
Buddy often said he felt more comfortable in Canada and only half in jest asked if we’d take him. He was really touched by the outpouring of love and support he received and wanted everyone to know that it was greatly appreciated.
