Hunting wildlife in highway right-of-ways from your vehicle is hunting? OK, I gather from the testimony some people get out before they shoot.
No disrespect to anyone, but that’s called shooting “goldfish in the bowl.” Why not just do it in your living room?
Then again, maybe this being April, a public hearing on shooting bears and perhaps other creatures along Yukon roads was just a figment of my imagination. Who possibly could believe it’s real.
I hope many were speaking for the creatures that live on the land and the Yukon Fish and Wildlife Management Board will stand up for them consistent with their mandate under the Umbrella Final Agreement.
P.S. - I’ve been relying on media coverage, as I haven’t been able to access transcripts from the special working group hearings.
