Heart breaking dog loss

Taking in a stray dog is theft unless you make a real effort to find the owner by advertising, calling the radio stations, calling the pound, the police, Mae Bachur, or voluntarily returning the dog when you know to whom

Taking in a stray dog is theft unless you make a real effort to find the owner by advertising, calling the radio stations, calling the pound, the police, Mae Bachur, or voluntarily returning the dog when you know to whom it belongs.

If your intent is to keep it, you are a thief.

We lost our white West Highland terrier on August 11 at the corner of Couch Road and the North Klondike Highway.

We were at a wedding celebration. She panicked when fireworks exploded and ran.

She is 18 pounds, 11 years old, spayed, timid, does not bark, is afraid of children. She has a tattoo - 28 EKN - in her ear. She was wearing a black leather collar with an ID tag, name and telephone number and rabies tag.

We got her from the SPCA as a very abused dog rescued from a dog mill. We nursed her back to mental and physical health over the past nine years. She has many odd traits due to her abuse.

We want her back so she can live out the rest of her life in a home she knows.

We have offered a $1,000 reward for her safe return. She is worth that much and more to us.

If you have seen a new white dog in your neighbourhood in the past three weeks, please let us know. All information will be kept confidential.

If you have her, you know we have searched and advertised all over the Yukon. Her picture is in every RCMP detachment.

Please help.
