I understand the News printed my letter Degrees of Homelessness almost a month after I submitted it.

In the meantime, Na-cho Nyak Dun First Nation chief and council have allocated a house for my granddaughter to live in. I hope my letter to you does not result in her losing her home.

I stand by what I wrote, but I hope my concern and subsequent letter do not harm my grandchild’s brighter future.

Maybe as a parent and grandparent one should not interfere or lobby on your family’s behalf. But it is hard to sit back and be quiet.

I would like to thank Na-cho Nyak Dun First Nation chief and council for giving me one less cause to worry.
