Open letter to Tourism Minister Mike Nixon:
We recently spent two weeks at territorial campgrounds at Fox Lake and Twin Lakes, and I feel I must congratulate your officials and campground staff for the cleanliness and well run facilities provided.
In conversation with many out-of-territory visitors who were using the campgrounds, they too were most impressed with the friendliness of the tourist staff, and the service and general upkeep of the campgrounds.
The fact that the Yukon provides free firewood was an added bonus.
We were impressed by the weekend patrols by park officials who checked to ensure that campers respected the pleasant environment which prevailed.
Thank you to all the staff for an outstanding job.
