Open letter to all those kind people who helped me and my pumpkin (orange Yaris) when I ended up in the greenbelt at the corner of Pine and Walnut:
Last Thursday night the people in Whitehorse demonstrated, again, that they are kind and caring. I went off the road in Porter Creek and down into the greenbelt in my car.
I want to thank the two gentlemen and the boy who saw me first in the trees and came down to get me out of the car and the kind woman who, while driving past, told me to use her house to stay warm.
I appreciate the RCMP coming promptly and asking me if I felt all right. Most of all, thank you, my friends at Yellow Cab! You have been there for me for the last 11 years, but on Thursday last you went above and beyond. You came five minutes after I called you, got your towing company to winch my car out of the green belt, took me to Super A to get the money to pay for towing and finally took me home.
Whitehorse people, you are special!
