Also, for your information: foxes and coyotes cannot be completely eliminated from an area. As they are killed or die off, other foxes and coyotes simply move into the territory. This was found to be the case on the UBC endowment lands and there are no longer attempts to kill off the coyotes living there.

I find it astonishing that anyone thought the fox would not have moved off the tarmac on her own in the space of 45 minutes or that she would wait around for the plane to hit her. This fox was a survivor.

Maybe someone panicked. But methinks the airport authorities doth protest too much.
