In the 1980s, the houses in Takhini that were owned by the federal government had ice buildup in the chimneys.
The Takhini fire department was called and refused to respond to a call from 18 Ortona. The Whitehorse fire department was called and responded to the complaint.
Ice was found to be the problem and cleared. The other units in Takhini were inspected and similar conditions existed.
The federal government tendered contracts to remedy this problem. There are several government departments that know of this problem.
Why do they have amnesia? What is going on? Why are they silent? Someone is clearly not doing their job.
