While shopping the other day at one of our local grocery stores, I was very upset by the “courtesy” shown to a senior citizen by one of the local taxi companies.

She was struggling with her grocery bags to get the door open and her groceries into the van. Meanwhile, the taxi driver just sat in his van, not offering any help. By the time I did get out of the door of the store, the lady did manage to have the door open. I should have made a comment to the driver, put I failed to do so.

Shame on the driver, and he probably wanted a tip! In this day and age, a little common courtesy goes a long way. I hope that these drivers can be a little more helpful to others in the future.
