Open letter to Whitehorse city council:

Please read the comments on the proposed City of Whitehorse blue box scheme that have been posted beneath online news stories.

None of the comments support this proposed scheme. As well, none of my friends and neighbours support this poorly-thought-out tax grab.

Please listen to the people who elected you to spend our tax dollars wisely, and reject this scheme.

I also believe that the unnecessary and unjustified “sustainability department” should be terminated, and the money saved should be used to support Raven Recycling and the private sector blue-box services already offered to those who want this service.

Thank you for considering our opinions.
