Open letter to Dan Lang and Stephen Harper:
I heard with great anguish that Bill C-311 was voted down by the Senate. I find this outrageous. Climate change is measurable and affects all of Canada, especially the North.
I feel that this attitude is shortsighted, not just for our environment, but also for our economy. The mid- and long-term economic health of Canada can only benefit from forward-looking technological and industrial capacity to deal with this global reality.
Invest in Canadian industry to become global leaders in this field!
If Bill C-311 was imperfect, then what do you propose as a realistic and achievable alternative?
