Letting Go
The Angels gathered near your bed,
So very close to you
For they knew the pain and suffering
That you were going through
We thought about so many things,
As we held tightly to your hand
Oh, HOW WE WISHED that you were strong
And happy once again
But your eyes were looking homeward
To that place beyond the sky
Where CREATOR and our ancestors held out their stretched arms
It was time to say our final "I love you"
We struggled with our own thoughts
For we wanted you to stay
So we could walk and talk again
Like we did - just like all yesterdays
But Creator knew the answer
And we knew He loved you so.
So we gave to your life's greatest gift
The gift of letting go
Now our hearts will carry your memories
Of the love you gave us
Until we meet again in heaven
It's been one year since we left us, we miss you and know in our hearts that you watching over us. We know you are happy in a good place. We love you mom.
