Amy Kenny, Local Journalism Initiative

I moved from Hamilton, Ontario, to the Yukon in 2016 and joined the Yukon News as the Local Journalism Initaitive reporter in 2023. I have a degree in journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University and a master of fine arts in creative writing from the University of British Columbia. I've worked as a staff reporter and/or freelancer for various media outlets including The Hamilton Spectator, CBC radio, Up Here, National Geographic book publishing, Canadian Geographic, Walrus and more. I like dogs and delightful stories and that's pretty much it. Coffee. Also coffee.
