Oldtimers strap on the blades

Glen Traverse recorded a shutout for Medicine Chest in its recent rout of the Edgewater Hotel in Whitehorse Oldtimers Hockey League action.

Glen Traverse recorded a shutout for Medicine Chest in its recent rout of the Edgewater Hotel in Whitehorse Oldtimers Hockey League action.

The Chest whupped the hoteliers 9-0.

Traverse’s teammate Blaine Demchuk led the scoring with three goals and two assists.

Gary Boyd netted a pair, Lester Balsillie, Roger Lockwood, Chris McNutt and Billy Watson added goals as well.

Kilrich 9

Yukon Inn 4

Scoring for Kilrich were Laurie Malo and Woody Bennett (with two goals and two assists each), Jeff Jensen (a goal and four assists), Dean Hassard, Ryan Hennings, Bernie Heffner and Gary Vantell.

Mike Blower led Yukon Inn with a pair of goals, and Gord Kuchler and Phil Borgel added singles.

Firth Rangers 5

Performance Centre Turbos 2

Gerry Rivest led the Rangers with a goal and two assists, and Terry Berquist had three assists. Robert Thompson, John Skilnyk, Grant Lowey and Ron Sumanik scored as well.

Brian Alp and Glen Heinbigner scored for the Turbos.

AON Flames 3

Klondyke Dental Molars 2

Jim Giczi, Wade Harrison and Kevin Neufeld scored for the Flames, and Stu Mackay helped out with a pair of assists.

Adam Green and Rob Twa scored for Klondyke.
