Whitehorse driver charged

A 28-year-old Whitehorse woman has been charged with impaired driving after a weekend collision. A pickup and SUV collided Saturday afternoon at Ray Street and Second Avenue.

A 28-year-old Whitehorse woman has been charged with impaired driving after a weekend collision.

A pickup and SUV collided Saturday afternoon at Ray Street and Second Avenue. The Whitehorse fire department used the jaws of life to remove one passenger from the pickup. This person and another were taken to the Whitehorse General Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released.

The driver of the pickup was arrested for impaired driving.

No one in the SUV was visibly hurt, said the RCMP.
