Thieves make off with Canadian Ranger gear

Warrants issued for Whitehorse shooting suspects Whitehorse RCMP has issued Canada-wide warrants for two men after shootings last week in downtown Whitehorse.

Mounties are investigating the theft of Canadian Ranger gear - including ammunition - out of a vehicle in downtown Whitehorse.

Whitehorse RCMP were called Nov. 19 about a theft that had happened sometime overnight.

The vehicle had been parked outside of a downtown hotel.

It contained Canadian Rangers equipment, including hoodies, ball caps, T-shirts, military rations and multiple .303 military rounds of ammunition.

“We are still in the early stages of this investigation and are working together with the Canadian Forces in an attempt to recover the stolen items,” said Const. Julia Fox. “We encourage anyone with any information to please contact the Whitehorse RCMP.”
