Yukon RCMP have charged 30-year-old Tristan Joe with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Raine Andrew Silas.
Joe appeared in court yesterday. He also faces two charges of failing to comply with probation.
Police arrested Joe Monday.
Silas, who was 18, was found dead on Nov. 4 in Pelly Crossing.
The RCMP’s major crimes unit immediately treated the death as suspicious, and began gathering evidence in the community.
The Yukon Coroner’s Service and the RCMP’s forensic identification section also assisted in the investigation.
