Is this Grant McConachie’s first CP airplane?

Was this plane the start of CPA?

Canadian Pacific Airlines is lettered on the side of the aircraft.

Did it belong to Grant McConachie, who was associated with the start of Canadian Pacific Airlines?

Does it mean a Yukon connection?

It appears to be at the Whitehorse airport, probably in the 1930s or the 1940s.

Aviation history in the Yukon is extremely interesting, involving colourful, unique characters who are pioneers in their own right.

Also interesting is the early developing flying machines.

In writing this, it reminds me of my old friend Archie Gillespie, who loved Yukon aviation history and occasionally wrote about it in a column called Planes and Pilots in the Mayo Miner newspaper and, later, in the Yukon News.
