Dementia prevention will be the focus of discussions during an event at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre on March 4.

Representatives from Baycrest, a health sciences centre providing care to older adults, and its Defy Dementia team will be in town to host the event that gets underway at 9:30 a.m.

The day-long event will include sessions ranging from an overview of dementia, prevention and support to small group discussions on what dementia prevention means and what types of prevention would work in the community.

A complimentary breakfast and lunch will also be available to those attending.

Those planning to attend are asked to email defydementia@baycrest.org, though drop-ins will also be welcome.
