City council approved the final budget amendment for the proposed new operations building on May 8.
The budget amendment was to allocate $600,000 from the city’s building replacement reserve and $8.6 million from the federal gas tax to tack a transit building expansion onto the operations building.
The operations building, including the expansion, had already been approved April 24. The budget amendment was the last formality in the process.
