As of press-time this morning, Northwestel had no information on a cellphone service outage in Whitehorse that began Tuesday night around 11:30 p.m.

Service had been restored by morning.

Early Tuesday, the company also fixed an outage in Ross River that had lasted 14 hours.

Telephone, cellular and internet service was disrupted after a road construction crew damaged a fibre-optic cable in the area at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.

The company reminds road crews to be careful when they dig. Buried lines will be located, at no charge, by Northwestel, if crews call 1-888-768-5377.
