A 16-year-old boy was mowed down by a car early Saturday morning.

The teen was at a bush party in the Twin Fields area near Chadburn Lake when a car struck him at around 3 a.m.

The RCMP arrived on the scene just as the car was pulling away from the party.

The boy was taken to hospital for a broken collarbone and cuts.

Two men - aged 22 and 26 - are under investigation for the collision, which RCMP believe was sparked by a fight. No charges have been laid.

Alcohol was “definitely” a factor, said RCMP Sgt. Don Rogers.
