This is a weird winter where the Yukon’s temperatures have often been higher than Toronto’s. But it is a sign of the times as climate change disrupts the north and the rest of the planet.

Last year was the hottest on record. So it is encouraging to hear your editorial’s call for a comprehensive price on carbon emissions.

Other provinces have one already or are about to put one in place. Even Prime Minister Harper, in his year-end musings, spoke favourably about Alberta’s carbon fee. When will the Yukon’s leaders do likewise?
