In her May 13 letter, Tamara Goeppel makes a most convincing argument against “warehousing” our elderly citizens out at Whistle Bend, far from the hospital, drug store, downtown core and family.

This idea makes as much sense as storing huge liquid natural gas tanks next to a school, a hospital and a residential neighbourhood!

That’s our famous Yukon Party! Truth is that people do not matter to them, least of all the powerless.

What can we expect from toadies, cronies and industry hacks who often head south to retire after they’re done shafting us?

The good news is, we can vote them out eventually, and Whitehorse seems to have an amazing amount of amazing people who work so hard to help those less fortunate, and for this I love Whitehorse.
